I am in email bliss. It’s not a marketers dream of course, unsubscribing from virtually all emails I get from retailers, but it’s done and it is heaven! It usually takes time to kick in when you unsubscribe, but when it does; you have a week like the one I just did. No constant bombardment daily, or sometimes several times daily trying to get you to buy before the sale ends. You know those sales that just come around again a week later? Yep, no more of those for me; it was getting beyond ridiculous. I have the clothing spend to prove it, which equates to a small down payment on a home that I’m now having those “kick me”, moments over.
This week was also exciting in that I found out that the library has workout videos! YESSSSSS! Aren’t you excited too? Ah, come on…please? Just a little maybe?
You know you’ve embraced the frugal life when you discover something new at the library that you no longer have to purchase. The best thing I’ve almost ever done has to be reconnecting with the library; it is saving me oodles of money. So, I found Jillian Michael’s Ripped in 30, and holy mother of god I am feeling it after two days already. And, by the way, I’m only on Week 1. It gets progressively more kick ass towards Weeks 3 & 4 – at least according to what Jillian says in the video while she’s trying to get me to concentrate on my form and I’m swearing at her like a trucker – in between panting of course. You know you’re a wee bit out of shape when you try one of these insane workout vids and you’re panting halfway in.
