In my usual M.O., I’m on a research rampage again. I’m on the hunt for valuable information to help me (and you) get life back in order. I’ve got a three step mini action plan:
Change my thinking
Find my purpose/passion
Live with meaning, make it count!
That’s my “mini” plan or the core of what I want to achieve to then reach my goals. Obviously each of those will have much larger action plans within them. I honestly believe that each of us wants to live this “mini” plan in one way or another. Some of us get lucky and find it early in life; for others, it takes a bit longer. It can even take a major life event before we sit back and realize that change is necessary.
In order to achieve 2 and 3 on my list, it all starts with #1. Good ol numero uno. Funny how that works, eh? Not only did I put that number one on the list but in the end, it does all come down to number one: YOU!
This new thought process all started with me cyber wandering around Youtube watching Colin Farrell on episodes of Ellen. If you haven’t seen them, they’re a must watch! Very funny! Anyways, enough of my lusting after Colin Farrell and back to what happened next. I was guided to a video by Marie Forleo entitled “How to use manifesting to get anything you want” – you know how Youtube gives you suggestions, strangely that was in my list even though I was watching Ellen episodes with Colin Farrell. How odd! As they say, the universe works in mysterious ways! For you cyber gurus, no it was NOT some fancy algorithm in the programming that did it!
My list of Change your Thinking resources:

Strengths Finder 2.0 – Book by Tom Rath with accompanying website resources when you buy the book
Live your Legend by Scott Dinsmore (I regularly read posts on the site and couldn’t choose just one article – the whole site is fantastic!)
The sad thing is, I can give you a complete roadmap about thought change, but if you don’t embrace it, own it and live it; nothing will change. You must want the change in your life! You have to understand yourself, learn from your current thoughts, then put away those old disbeliefs and start fresh. As I like to say, starting life over like a 4 year old with all kinds of blank pages to write on! It will put you out of your comfort zone for a while, but believe me, it is quite refreshing!
This too shall pass
I orginally heard the phrase “This too shall pass” from my good friend Richard. He’s a great friend who has been there and listened to some of my rantings about life and my job. He’s offered so much guidance, including this little quote. It is said this quote goes back to Persian times and even King Soloman was humbled by the phrase!
